About · Barış Çelebi

A software developer shaped by two very different disciplines.

I’m interested in the whole life of software: the business problem, the system underneath, the interface people meet, and the work required to keep it dependable.

01 / The path here

I started in law. Curiosity pulled me toward software.

I was born in Istanbul in 1995 and graduated from Istanbul Commerce University’s Faculty of Law in 2017. After completing my internship, I practiced as a lawyer — work that taught me to read carefully, question assumptions, and make a clear case from complicated information.

Technology had always been the direction I kept returning to. In 2022 I stopped treating it as a distant possibility, committed to the change, and began my first software role that June. It quickly became clear that I had found the kind of work I wanted to keep doing.

02 / What I do now

Backend foundations, with a widening product lens.

My professional depth is in .NET and backend systems, but I no longer see the interface as someone else’s world. AI-assisted workflows let me move confidently across frontend and mobile work while keeping the engineering judgment, verification, and ownership with me.
